BRENT GOULET,  DIRECTOR OF COACHING


As the Technical Director of ALBION SC Nashville, Brent Goulet works with the coaching staff and players on continued player development.  Brent is a former USMNT player who played in the 1990 U.S. World Cup Qualifying squad for Italy, a U.S. Soccer Olympian (1988) and U. S. Soccer Male Athlete of the Year.  In 2018, he was honored with the Walt Chysowych Distinguished Playing Career Award for his efforts on the 1989 World Championship Bronze Medal winning U.S. Futsal team, which was the first U.S. Team (Men or Women) in U.S. Soccer history to capture a medal in FIFA competition. Brent is also one of the first American-born soccer players to secure a work visa to play in England (AFC Bournemouth). He also played and coached professionally for 20 years in Germany.  
 
After retiring from the field,  Brent became an assistant coach in Bundesliga 3 at SV Elversberg and then three years later, was promoted to become the first American born head coach at this level in German Football history.  Coach Brent then acquired the German Fusball Lehrer License (UEFA-Pro) which is the highest coaching certification world-wide and requires an invitation to pursue. He is the first American born coach to receive this license.  On domestic soil, Brent was the Nashville Metros USL Team Coach, and led the team to their first winning season in a decade. Brent is dedicated to utilizing his experience and passion for soccer to develop the best soccer players in the Middle Tennessse area.
